Stewardship

Stewardship is rooted in the understanding that all that we have and all that we are is a gift from God, given in pure love neither earned nor requested. This recognition of our giftedness leads to a life of gratitude and desire to share our gifts with our family, church and community.

Stewardship is an integral part of every Christian’s life involving the joyful outward expression of being a disciple of Christ. By making Stewardship a part of our everyday life each of us can experience the lesson from the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi; “It is through giving that we receive”.

Giving can include sharing our gifts of talents, time and treasure.

The Stewardship Committee creates and encourages programs that help parishioners recognize and share their gifts, including managing the Avila in Action Grant Program, Offertory and Holy Day appeals, Volunteer Appreciation Party, Ministry Fair, and Strengths in Action workshops.

Please consider sharing your gifts in support of the St. Teresa of Avila Parish community.
