Thanks everyone for your efforts on Ash Wednesday. Click above to view photos and video coverage by the local media.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your efforts regarding this year’s Ash Wednesday. Ashes on Armitage was a huge success and I would venture to say we have a new yearly event at St. Teresa’s.

For those who haven’t heard, there was at least one volunteer outside the Armitage station from 630 am to 630 pm and we received coverage from three different media outlets. If I were to estimate, I would say we distributed ashes to over two hundred commuters; that might even be a conservative number.

The commuters and pedestrians, for the most part, were extremely appreciative and loved the idea; many asked to take a picture in order to send to friends and family. Below find links to the pictures and the ABC7 news coverage:

Again, I thank you for all your time and efforts…this successful event would not have been possible without your help.
